What a wonderful cartoon with nice and funny stories and a lot of HK-local elements. So pure and beautiful yet humorous.

McDull's Background
McDull is a male pig who can be distinguished by a birthmark on his right eye. He has a heart of gold, but he isn't very smart and ordinary in every way; nevertheless, he has many dreams. However, every time he tries, he fails; he is disappointed, but tries again, exploring other dreams. In this way he creates his own colourful world. He lives his life simply and naturally. He is not perfect, but his attitude towards life, namely of never giving up, makes him a popular character.

McDull & Excreman

One Christmas day, McDull produced a load of human-shaped dung called Excreman. After giving Excreman a scarf (made out of toilet paper) and a hat, he was brought by Excreman to dung-world. There, Excreman shares his wish with him: to become fertilizer for flowers.

When the next morning came, Excreman brought McDull back to his room and went to fulfill his goal. Before leaving, Excreman left a message to McDull: Remember us whenever you see the humblest, the deserted and the despised.

 

The Creators

Brian Tse (謝立文) and Alice Mak (麥家碧) are the two creators of the cartoon characters McMug and McDull. They used to be colleagues, but later got married. 

 

So beautiful that a married couple work together on making beautiful stories and art. ^__^ They must be some fantastic people..

Begynte plutselig å savne følelsene jeg hadde med han. Han var alltid så positiv og så på alt som vakker kunst. Det fikk meg til å interessere meg for kunst og så på alt på en annerledes måte. Han motiverte meg til å ta tusenvis av bilder det året. Det var da jeg følte meg mest motivert og inspirert. Det var da jeg begynte å tegne "Albertine". 

Savner den følelsen...
av å ha en person som kan lede deg til å gjøre det bedre...
og til å bli en mer positiv og bedre menneske..

Skriver på norsk, så minst mulig folk derfra skal forstå hva jeg vil si... men syns selv at det er vanskelig å gjøre meg forstått med skrift på norsk.
